George Harrison, a 25-year-old Indian man, opened an emergency door on a Jet Airways flight during take-off, causing a major security scare for the terrified passengers onboard. Passengers on the Delhi-Nagpur flight described how Harrison had stood up without warning and opened the exit door. Passengers quickly became aware of the danger and rushed to restrain him, pulling him away from the door as the plane began to descend rapidly. Flight attendants and passengers quickly moved to close the door and the plane was diverted back to Delhi, where Harrison was arrested. Footage from the plane shows the fright and confusion among the passengers as they attempt to grasp what has just happened. Police have described the man as “mentally disturbed”.
