Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has condemned Russia for what he said was the “terrorising” of Ukraine after a drone attack on a power station in the Donetsk region.
In a tweet on Friday, Zelenskyy said: “Russia’s terrorising of Ukraine is unacceptable. We call on Moscow to abide by international law and return to the negotiating table”.
Ukraine has accused Russian forces of launching a drone attack on a power station in the Donetsk region, causing a blackout that left thousands of people without electricity. The incident has sparked tensions between the two countries and raised the likelihood of further hostilities.
The Ukrainian president has also urged Moscow to adhere to the Minsk agreements, a set of protocols designed to bring an end to the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
