Twitter issues ruined Ron DeSantis’ announcement of his US presidential campaign

On the morning of his presidential announcement, Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis experienced difficulties with his Twitter account. He inadvertently posted an incomplete version of his announcement on the site, which resulted in errors and displayed garbled text on the Tweet. Ultimately, Twitter fixed the errors and DeSantis was able to resend the full version of his announcement. This is not the first time Twitter has experienced glitches related to major presidential announcements. Twitter has seen similar issues with Joe Biden, Kirsten Gillibrand, and Cory Booker when they made their presidential announcements. This raises questions about the platform’s ability to handle high volumes of traffic, especially during important events. It also casts doubt on the effectiveness of Twitter for official political announcements and communication.
