This week saw a number of breakthroughs in the world of generative AI, from open-sourcing of GPT-4 to the launch of Microsoft 365 Copilot.
GPT-4, the fourth version of OpenAI’s language model, was released this week. The model is able to write content, summarise long texts, translate languages and answer questions. It can also generate text from a single word, demonstrating the power of natural language processing.
Microsoft also made a big announcement this week, launching Microsoft 365 Copilot, a chatbot that works with any Microsoft 365 product. The chatbot is able to answer questions, provide support and help users with tasks such as setting up meetings, managing documents and more.
Additionally, Google’s DeepMind announced this week that it has developed an AI system capable of playing StarCraft II with human-level performance. The system is able to play at a level comparable to a professional player, demonstrating its ability to make complex strategic decisions.
