The two men, Cleveland Grover Meredith Jr., of Sanford, Florida, and William Calhoun III, of Panama City, Florida, were convicted in April 2021 for participating in the attack on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021. Meredith was found guilty of nine charges, including threatening Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, carrying a firearm in a federal facility, and possession of an unregistered gun. Calhoun was convicted of eight charges, including possession of an unregistered gun, assaulting a federal officer, and obstruction of an official proceeding.
