Ravi Chaudhary, who has served in the US Air Force for more than three decades, will take office as the US Air Force’s new assistant secretary for installations, environment, and energy on April 20, 2021. Chaudhary was nominated for the position by President Joe Biden in December 2020 and has since been confirmed by the Senate.
Chaudhary is the first Indian-American to hold this position and will focus on energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives and the development of military installations. In addition, Chaudhary will work to improve the quality of life for airmen and their families.
