Pakistan’s Supreme Court has called on the police to postpone the arrest of opposition leader Imran Khan amid escalating clashes between his supporters and the police. The court urged the police to “exercise restraint” and said that it would take up the matter in court on Monday. Khan has threatened to lead a march of his supporters towards the Prime Minister’s House if his arrest was not postponed. The police have said that they will enforce the court’s order and will not arrest Khan until the court had heard the case.
