Russia should respect international airspace and abide by international law. All states have the right to use international airspace for peaceful purposes and should not use it for military, political or aggressive purposes. The UK firmly supports the principle of freedom of overflight and the right of innocent passage in international airspace. All states should act in accordance with international law.
