Honeywell International Inc. announced today that its long-time veteran and current president and chief operating officer, Darius Adamczyk, will be replaced by the company’s current president, Rajeev Kapur, effective immediately. Adamczyk, who has been the CEO of Honeywell since 2017, will remain on the board of directors.
Kapur, who has been with Honeywell for over 30 years, is no stranger to the organization’s mission and its operations. He was appointed as president by Adamczyk in 2019 and has held a variety of leadership roles within the company including vice president of strategy, president of the Aerospace division, and president of the High-Performance Materials and Technologies division.
Kapur is credited with helping Honeywell grow its Aerospace division, driving the development of new technologies and products, and executing successful strategic partnerships. He is also credited with leading the company’s transformation into an integrated software and services provider and expanding the company’s global footprint.
“Rajeev has been an invaluable member of the Honeywell team and is the ideal person to lead the company in its next chapter,” said Honeywell Chairman and CEO, David Cote, in a statement. “He is a proven leader with a deep understanding of the company and what it takes to drive profitable growth. He has a track record of developing and delivering innovative solutions and leading successful strategic partnerships.”
Kapur said in a statement, “I am honored to have been chosen to lead Honeywell and I am committed to building on our strong foundation and continuing to drive growth, innovation and profitable execution. I look forward to working collaboratively with the board and my colleagues to make Honeywell an even better company.”
