According to local police, at least 30 people were killed and 15 others were injured in a road accident in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Friday.
The accident occurred when a passenger van collided with a truck in the outskirts of Peshawar. The van was coming from Lakki Marwat district and was heading towards the city of Peshawar.
The police said that most of the victims were members of a family who were returning from a wedding. The injured were taken to Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar for treatment.
The accident is being investigated by the local police and the cause of the accident is yet to be determined. The provincial government has announced financial assistance for the families of the deceased and injured.
