With 22 on board, a cargo ship capsizes off the coast of Japan

A cargo ship capsized off the coast of Japan on December 20th, 2020. The vessel had 22 people on board, and the Japan Coast Guard confirmed that all 22 crew members had been rescued. The ship was carrying about 1,000 tons of steel when it overturned off the coast of Soma city.

According to the Japanese Coast Guard, the vessel had been sailing from the port of Muroran in Hokkaido to the port of Onahama in Fukushima prefecture. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
