Fuel Pump: Fuel delivery service of modern diesel engines. The fuel pump is responsible for delivering fuel from the tank to the engine.
Fuel Pump is used to get gasoline into the engine and air out of it. The basic principle behind a fuel pump is as simple as it sounds – when you apply a lower pressure on the fuel inlet and then open the throttle, fuel inlet must flow through higher pressure so that it can be supplied to engine.
Fuel pumps, also known as carburetors or fuel injectors, are used in many types of vehicles to aid with fuel delivery. Fuel pumps work by forcing the fuel from the tank to a part of the vehicle where it can be mixed with air before being expelled through the tailpipe.
Fuel pumps monitor the pressure in the fuel tank and when this drops below a specific threshold, they automatically activate to pressurize the system with air. Depending on the vehicle, fuel is either drawn into the engine or sent to an oil separator for reprocessing. Once everything is purged of fuel, an excess vent valve can be opened by the fuel pump.
The global Fuel Pump market was valued at US$ 6373 million in 2022 and is anticipated to reach US$ 7911.6 million by 2029, witnessing a CAGR of 3.1% during the forecast period 2023-2029. The influence of COVID-19 and the Russia-Ukraine War were considered while estimating market sizes.
