US: Two gunshots in northern California resulted in seven deaths and one critical injury

On Tuesday, November 17, 2020, seven people were killed and one person was critically injured in two separate shootings in northern California. The shootings took place in two rural towns in Tehama County, about 130 miles north of Sacramento. The shootings occurred in the small towns of Rancho Tehama Reserve and Corning and are believed to be related. According to authorities, the shootings began at a home in Rancho Tehama Reserve where a man opened fire on a woman and her child before driving off. The man then shot at several other people and vehicles before police eventually stopped the suspect in Corning. The suspect was killed in the shootout with police. No other suspects are being sought and authorities are still investigating a motive.
