US says it is prepared to help Pakistan resolve its power issues

The United States has stated that it is ready to assist Pakistan in addressing its power woes. According to a statement from the US Embassy in Islamabad, the US is actively looking for ways to collaborate with Pakistan to support its efforts to meet its growing energy needs.

The statement noted that the US Agency for International Development (USAID) has already provided more than $21 million in assistance to Pakistan to help increase access to electricity and improve energy efficiency. USAID is currently supporting the Government of Pakistan’s efforts to develop the energy sector and expand energy access, including through the provision of technical assistance and policy advice.

The US Embassy also noted that it is actively exploring additional opportunities to support Pakistan’s energy sector and that it has been engaging with Pakistani officials and stakeholders to identify areas where the US can provide assistance.

The US Embassy added that it is committed to helping Pakistan achieve its energy goals and looks forward to continuing to work with the government and the people of Pakistan to address the country’s energy needs.
